Who is tashigi? (search fandom website only)

Captain Tashigi is a Marine officer serving under Vice Admiral Smoker in the base of G-5. She was originally introduced as a Master Chief Petty Officer in Loguetown but was promoted to Ensign after the events in Arabasta. During the timeskip, she was promoted to Captain. Due to her actions, she can be considered a supporting antagonist during the Loguetown Arc, but she and Smoker temporarily teamed up with the Straw Hats during the end of the Arabasta Saga and the Punk Hazard Arc.

Tashigi has dark brown eyes and wears her black hair between chin- and shoulder-length. She looks remarkably similar to the late Kuina, Zoro's childhood friend. She wears rectangular glasses with red frames.

Tashigi mostly relies on her great speed and agility in battle. She has been aiming to get stronger since the end of the Arabasta arc. After the timeskip, Tashigi has shown considerable improvement in her strength and agility, using her speed to overwhelm her opponents. She is also skilled in swordsmanship and is the owner of the Shigure, one of the 21 O Wazamono grade swords.

Tashigi's obsession with swords is rooted in her desire to possess a renowned sword, believing that a sword is a symbol of strength and power. She is willing to take risks to achieve her goals, even if it means going against her superior, Smoker. Despite her tough exterior, Tashigi has shown compassion and understanding towards Zoro, demonstrating a more human side to her personality.

Tashigi's dream is to collect all of the 21 O Wazamono grade swords, a feat that would make her the greatest swordswoman in the world. Her ultimate goal is to surpass Roronoa Zoro and claim his Wado Ichimonji as her own.
