What is a duvet
A duvet is a type of bedding that is designed to keep a person warm and comfortable while sleeping. It is a soft, padded blanket typically filled with down or synthetic insulation, and is usually contained within a removable cover, known as a duvet cover. The duvet itself is not meant to be washed, but the duvet cover can be removed and washed frequently.
Duvets are often filled with materials such as down feathers, synthetic fibers, or a combination of both. The filling provides insulation, trapping warm air close to the body, and keeping the cold air out. The thickness and warmth of a duvet are usually measured in tog ratings, with higher tog ratings indicating a warmer duvet.
Duvets are commonly used in European countries, and have gained popularity in other parts of the world as well. They are often preferred over traditional blankets and bedspreads because of their ability to provide consistent warmth and comfort throughout the night.
