In the context of computer science, a computer is an electronic device that can perform mathematical or logical operations automatically. It is an essential tool in modern life, used in various aspects such as education, business, and communication.

According to Wikipedia, the term "komputer" is derived from the English word "computer," which originates from the French word "computeur," meaning "calculator." The concept of computers dates back to the 19th century, with Charles Babbage's design of the Analytical Engine, a mechanical computer.

There are various types of computers, including analog, digital, microcomputers, and mainframe computers.
