Encounter the Grotesque Horde

There were at least a dozen of them, grotesque seemed the best word to describe them. They were short, shifting easily between a four legged gait and an upright stance. Their skins ranged from jaundiced yellow to a ruddy brown, Corse matted tufts of hair; or fur, sprouted sporadically from their heads and shoulders. Stolen clothes draped over their gangly frames. Their bulbous eyes gazed with an eerie luminescence, peering out from deep-set sockets. Their heads were conical, coming to a pronounced point at the back. Their long and narrow ears swept back along their skulls. Their noses were more akin to lumps of flesh perched over their lipless mouths. Jagged, uneven teeth jutted from their gums, each a serrated dagger of bone that fought for space in their crowded maws. Thin and wiry limbs ended in stubby digits tipped with long black claws.
