A small, fluffy kitten with big, teary eyes sits alone in the rain on a quiet city street, looking up at the people passing by. No one notices him. He curls up next to a cardboard box, wet and shivering. A little girl with a red umbrella stops and looks at him. The next scene shows her holding the kitten close, wrapping him in a warm scarf. The kitten slowly smiles and purrs. Later, they are at home — the kitten sleeps peacefully in a soft bed with toys around him, the girl watches him with love. The final scene shows the kitten growing up a bit, now happy and healthy, sitting by the window with the girl, both smiling as the sun shines in.
