The Deviants Synopsis In the distant future, humanity has colonized the planet New Earth, where society is tightly controlled by Harmony, an artificial intelligence that standardizes behavior and eliminates any genetic or mental "deviation." Those who exhibit traits outside the norm—the Deviants—are exiled to the Marginal Zones, arid wastelands where survival is nearly impossible. Kael, a young man who discovers he possesses forbidden psychic abilities, is branded a Deviant and forced to flee. By joining a secret group of rebels living in the shadows, Kael discovers that the Deviants may hold the key to freeing humanity from the oppressive control of Harmony.
