In the chapter titled "The Hero," Buster excitedly returns home from school to share that he found a diamond ring, with his friend Sophie by his side. His mother is thrilled and proud, leading to a joyful three-way hug. The next day, a newspaper article confirms that the ring belongs to Swing Pearl's mother, and the town celebrates Buster by awarding him a badge that reads “Buster Bape, The Fabulous Finder in Chief.” After the ceremony, Bammy, who had previously taken Buster's Whipple Whop Hat, apologizes and returns it. Buster graciously accepts, stating he no longer needs it, which brings laughter and cheers from everyone. Buster begins wearing his badge daily, helping others find lost items, and dreams of starting a detective agency like his grandfather. Ultimately, he embraces his unique bus eye, realizing it is a fantastic gift, just as his mother always said.
